As ATMs acquirer Kreditprombank finalized certification on MasterCard chip cards. The bank initiated simultaneous chip certification on two payment systems - Visa и MasterCard and was the first, who finalized it successfully.
ATMs acquiring of MasterCard chip cards became final stage in bank’s certification. Specialists conducted corresponding tests on-line. Namely, they used MasterCard and Maestro credit and debit cards of different issuers for withdrawal of cash. Also, there were performed transactions on payments cards with defective chip, overdue validity term, exceeded limit, with tracing of ATM reaction on each transaction. After that confirmation about successful certification of Kreditprombank’s ATMs for chip cards servicing was issued.

P.S. Chip card is plastic card with inbuilt microprocessor, which may contain 80 times more information, than magnetic stripe. In contrast to the card with magnetic stripe, chip card is able to process and keep data that is very convenient for its holder. Besides, it may simultaneously serve as debit and credit card and record bonuses and discounts. Such card is practically impossible to counterfeit. Chip certification is priority line in the strategy of bank development on operations with the use of payment cards. Certification allowed Kreditprombank to reach qualitatively new level of clients servicing, providing them with reliable and safe payment instrument.
