Individuals Deposits Guaranteeing Fund Administration Board Decision №43 dated 31.01.06 “About Increase of Deposits Funds Return Amount” come into force. Now guaranteed return amount includes UAH 8.000 (it was UAH 5.000 before), including interests.
Deposits Guaranteeing Fund has been created on the initiative of Parliament at the end of 90s for support of people, suffered from bank bankruptcy, widespread at that time. Since that time al the banks of the country, that is 186 organizations, are obliged to make special payments to the Fund. Clients have guaranteed right for return of definite part of deposit from these funds in case of any bank bankruptcy.
